Campaign chief touts Trump’s 5-point plan to ‘defeat Islam’
Donald Trump’s campaign manager said early Wednesday that the Republican presidential nominee has a plan to “defeat Islam.”
“He gave a 10-point veterans administration reform plan, five-point plan to defeat Islam, four-point plan for middle-class tax relief,” said Kellyanne Conway in an appearance on MSNBC.
Conway later corrected herself, telling the Daily Mail that she meant “radical Islamic terrorism.” But her on-air flub had already drawn the attention of one of Hillary Clinton’s aides.
“Defeat Islam?” spokesman Jesse Ferguson posted on Twitter.
Um.@KellyannePolls just said Donald Trump has a 5 point plan to defeat Islam.

{mosads}Trump’s rhetoric on Muslims and terrorism has sparked criticism throughout the campaign.
Last year, the then-Republican primary candidate proposed a ban on Muslims entering the United States.
Trump has also said, on separate occasions, that President Obama and Clinton founded the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
