Clinton leading Trump in two battleground states
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leads Republican rival Donald Trump in the battleground states of Florida and Pennsylvania, according to polls released Sunday morning.
{mosads}Clinton leads Trump by 3 points among likely voters in Florida, 45 percent to 42 percent, in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll. Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has 5 percent support, and the Green Party’s Jill Stein has 3 percent.
Clinton’s lead drops to 2 percent in the Sunshine State, 46 percent to 44 percent, in a two-way matchup.
In Pennsylvania, Clinton has a 12-point lead over the billionaire, 49 percent to 27 percent, with Johnson at 6 percent and Stein at 4 percent.
Clinton also has a 12-point advantage in a two-way race, 51 percent to 27 percent.
Both polls were conducted before Friday’s release of a bombshell tape showing Trump making lewd comments about women.
The Florida poll of 700 likely voters, conducted Oct. 3–5, has a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points.
The poll of 709 likely voters in Pennsylvania, conducted Oct. 3–6, has a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points.
