Nevada poll gives Clinton 6-point lead
Hillary Clinton’s lead is growing in the battleground state of Nevada, where she outpaces Donald Trump by 6 points, according to a new Suffolk University poll.
Clinton’s (D) 44 percent support among likely voters in the state is unchanged since the last Suffolk poll in the state in August, which had her leading by 2 points. Trump (R), however, has dropped to 38 percent.
{mosads}Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson is a distant third with 7 percent.
According to RealClearPolitics, Clinton’s 6-point lead is the largest she’s had in the state this year.
Of the respondents who watched Monday’s presidential debate, 57 percent Clinton said won, 23 percent said Trump won and 12 percent said it was a draw.
The survey also shows a sharp reversal from recent trends in the state. RealClearPolitics showed the GOP nominee leading by an average of 2.3 points in recent polls.
The poll surveyed 500 likely voters in the days following the debate, from Sept. 27 to 29. It has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.
