Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson says he’s having a hard time coming up with a foreign leader he admires.
{mosads}A day after flubbing that question from MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Johnson still doesn’t have an answer.
“It’s been almost 24 hours … and I still can’t come up with a foreign leader I look up to,” Johnson tweeted Thursday afternoon.
Matthews asked Johnson on Wednesday to name any foreign leader “of any country in any continent” that he respects or looks up to at a town hall event.
“I guess I am having an Aleppo moment,” he responded, before suggesting “the former president of Mexico.”
When Matthews asked which one, Johnson said he couldn’t remember the name.
“I am having a brain freeze,” Johnson said.
Johnson’s running mate Bill Weld came to the rescue, reminding him of Vicente Fox.
