Clinton campaign manager avoids Syria questions on ‘Morning Joe’

Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager on Wednesday struggled to answer questions about his boss’s proposals to handle the civil war in Syria in an interview on “Morning Joe.”

{mosads}Asked what Clinton regrets from her time as secretary of State regarding the Syrian crisis, Robby Mook defended her as being “well-regarded” for her leadership during that time.

“She, in contrast to Donald Trump, has released a clear and decisive plan to defeat ISIS,” Mook said.

Pressed further for specifics about Clinton’s thoughts on Syria, Mook repeatedly dodged and referred questions to Clinton herself.

“Again, I think you’re going to have to ask her that question. That’s a matter of policy. I’m going to leave it to her to determine that,” Mook said in response to a question about the difficulty in delivering humanitarian aid to besieged Syrian cities.

“We love you buddy, but what are you here for?” Joe Scarborough, the show’s host, interjected.

Scarborough likened Mook’s inability to answer the questions to Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson briefly forgetting what Aleppo is during an appearance on the show earlier this month.

“Well you’ve been saying that Donald Trump won’t tell us what the policy is, but here you are not telling us what the policy is,” added anchor Willie Geist.
