Trump rips media for not covering Clinton coughing attack

Donald Trump is criticizing the media for not covering Hillary Clinton’s coughing fit.

{mosads}”Mainstream media never covered Hillary’s massive ‘hacking’ or coughing attack, yet it is #1 trending,” the GOP presidential nominee tweeted Tuesday.

“What’s up?”

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton took a jab at Trump amid a coughing fit on Monday.

“Every time I think about Trump I get allergic,” she said shortly after taking the stage in Cleveland as she continued to cough.

“Once I get over my allergic reaction, let me say that we’re here in part because we know how important this election is to Ohio. It’s not just, as Tim said, that Ohio is one of those battleground states you hear about every four years, it’s that Ohio represents everything that’s great about America and all of the challenges and opportunities that we face.”

The coughing fit quickly attracted attention on social media.

#HackingHillary became the top Twitter trend in the country following the incident, Mediaite reported, but no longer maintained its place on Tuesday.

The hashtag was also trending on Facebook and was at the top in the politics category as of Tuesday morning.

Trump has been seeking to make an issue of Clinton’s health. Top surrogate Rudy Giuliani, a former mayor of New York City, said people should “go online” and look up “Hillary Clinton illness” to find stories about her health.

Supporters of Clinton have fired back at Trump, arguing that some of the questions about Clinton’s health are sexist and that Trump has yet to reveal his full medical records.

Clinton’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), described questions about Clinton’s health as “idiotic” in an ABC News interview.
