Trump: Obama’s La. visit ‘too little, too late’

Donald Trump on Tuesday blasted President Obama hours before he arrived in Louisiana to assess the flood damage.

“President Obama should have gone to Louisiana days ago, instead of golfing. Too little, too late!” Trump tweeted.

{mosads}Trump and others criticized Obama last week for not cutting short his vacation on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts when devastating floods hit Baton Rouge, La.

“Obama ought to get off the golf course and get down there,” Trump told supporters during a rally last week in Dimondale, Mich.

“The president says he doesn’t want to go. He is trying to get out of a golf game,” Trump added.

The GOP presidential nominee went to Louisiana on Friday to see the damage and speak with volunteers.

Hillary Clinton on Monday said she will not visit the state right now because she wants to avoid creating an unnecessary political distraction.

“The best way to help Louisianans affected by these terrible floods is to make sure they have the resources they need today,” she said.

“I am committed to visiting communities affected by these floods at a time when the presence of a political campaign will not disrupt the response, to discuss how we can and will rebuild together,” she added.

Obama arrived in Louisiana early Tuesday afternoon to tour the damaged areas and is scheduled to address the nation.
