Clinton’s joint fundraising efforts raked in more than $40M in May

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton raised more than $40 million in May for her presidential campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state parties, her campaign announced Wednesday.

{mosads}Clinton raised more than $27 million for her presidential campaign last month and more than $13.5 million for the DNC and state parties through the Hillary Victory Fund.

Clinton started June with more than $42 million on hand.

Up to this point, Clinton has raised more than $240 million for her campaign and more than $62 million for the DNC and state parties through the victory fund.

The average contribution to Clinton’s presidential campaign during May was about $44.

Money raised for the Hillary Victory Fund is being used to fund and staff programs in states to help register voters, recruit volunteers and organize Democratic support for candidates on the ballot.

“Thanks to the continued support of more than 1.3 million people across the country we have the resources we need to run a winning general election campaign and build on the smart investments we made during the primary,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement.

“Hillary Clinton remains focused on ensuring that she and Democrats up and down the ballot are able to mobilize millions of voters and win in November.”
