Trump: Would Obama have gone to Scalia funeral if it was at a mosque?
In his typical fashion, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump did not stay quiet about President Obama’s decision to skip Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s funeral Saturday.
“I wonder if President Obama would have attended the funeral of Justice Scalia if it were held in a Mosque,” Trump tweeted as the funeral was taking place. “Very sad that he did not go!”

The White House on Thursday defended Obama’s decision not to attend, saying it made more sense for Vice President Biden to go to the funeral because his “security footprint is a little bit lighter.”
{mosads}Biden also has a longtime relationship with Scalia’s family, according to the White House. And both Scalia and Biden are Roman Catholic.
The president and first lady Michelle Obama paid their respects to Scalia on Friday.
Scalia died Saturday while on a hunting trip in Texas. He was 79.
