Fiorina: Unlike Hillary, ‘I actually love spending time with my husband’

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina started the undercard debate Thursday with a deeply personal attack at Democrat Hillary Clinton’s marriage.

“Unlike another woman in this race, I actually love spending time with my husband,” Fiorina, the former Hewlett Packard CEO, said in the Fox Business Network debate held Thursday night in South Carolina.

The audience laughed, and did again when Fiorina said that business elites such as Donald Trump, the party’s front-runner, had been “buying people like Hillary Clinton.”

Asked receiving an opening question about the economy, Fiorina ignored it for most of her answer, riffing on why she, as a political outsider, was best placed to “take our country back.”
