Giuliani: Trump’s Clinton attacks ‘politically brilliant’

Rudy Giuliani said Thursday that Donald Trump has handled the Clinton family’s accusations of sexism in “politically brilliant” fashion.

“He found a way to do it that nobody else has done,” he said of Trump’s feud with former President Bill Clinton and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, his wife.

{mosads}“She attacked him as a sexist. He said, ‘I’m a sexist?’” Giuliani said of the Republican presidential front-runner’s strategy.

“’What about you standing by while your husband was doing all of that stuff with all of those women and you were destroying their reputations?’” he described Trump’s counter. “‘And you’re accusing me of sexism?’

“That was actually politically brilliant. That’s a politically brilliant maneuver. No one had been able to carry that off.”

Giuliani also predicted that Trump is becoming the GOP’s 2016 presidential nominee if he converts his popularity into voters.

“Unless you don’t read the newspapers you have to make him the favorite,” the former Republican mayor of New York said. “Don’t count him out.”

“I think the real answer to all of our questions are going to come in Iowa, New Hampshire and maybe South Carolina,” Giuliani continued, mentioning the first three nominating states.

“Does this sentiment turn into a vote? Is it celebrity, or is it real voting? If it’s real voting, then he’s on his way to the nomination.”

Trump raised eyebrows last month by suggesting then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) “schlonged” Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary.

Hillary Clinton responded by accusing Trump of a “penchant for sexism” during his past public remarks.

Trump has since repeatedly countered by attacking Bill Clinton’s history of scandals with women.

He has repeatedly criticized Bill Clinton’s “terrible record of women abuse” by recalling such indiscretions on the 2016 campaign trail.
