Tom Brady: Trump ‘just doesn’t lose’ at golf
NFL star Tom Brady says in a new interview that it is impossible to defeat Donald Trump at golf.
“He just — he doesn’t lose,” Brady said of the GOP presidential front-runner, according to GQ magazine.
{mosads}“Nah,” he added when asked if Trump cheats when hitting the links. “He just doesn’t lose.”
Brady routinely places side bets on golfing contests with the outspoken billionaire, GQ reported Wednesday.
Trump always ends up winning the pot, the magazine added, once the pair’s encounter ends.
Brady also dismissed following Trump into the world of politics once he hangs up his football cleats.
“There is a 0.000 chance of me ever wanting to do that,” he said. “I think in politics, half the people are going to like you and half the people are not going to like you, no matter what you do or what you say.
“It’s like there are no right answers,” the New England Patriots quarterback continued. “If there were, everyone would choose the right answers. They’re all opinions.
“I think the great part about what I do is that there’s a scoreboard,” Brady added. “At the end of every week, you know how you did.
“There’s a tangible score. You know how well you prepared. You know whether you executed your game plan.”
Trump has repeatedly touted his friendship with Brady since entering the 2016 presidential race earlier this year.
He has also frequently called the four-time Super Bowl champion a “total winner” while defending Brady against his critics.
Brady displayed a hat bearing Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan in his locker last September.
He then argued later that month that he did not mean the gesture as an endorsement of Trump’s campaign.
“I don’t even know what the issues are,” Brady said Sept. 30. “I haven’t paid attention to politics in a long time [and] it’s way off my radar.
“I try to have fun with certain things, you know, but some things a lot of times get taken out of context.”
