A plurality of college students think billionaire businessman Donald Trump won the first Republican presidential debate, according to a poll released Monday.
Twenty-six percent of college or college-bound students said Trump won the debate, according to a survey from Chegg, an online textbook rental and tutoring company.
Sixteen percent said former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush won, 14 percent thought Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) won and 10 percent went for Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).
Ten percent of college students said nobody won.
Amongst just Republicans alone, 26 percent of those surveyed think Trump should be taken seriously as a candidate; versus just 8 percent of college Democrats.
Also worth noting: 40 percent of college students want vice president Joe Biden to enter the race to challenge Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
Chegg surveyed 558 college students between Aug. 6 and Aug. 8. The survey has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
