Bush 41 fundraises for Jeb super-PAC

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign is a family affair, with his father, former President George H.W. Bush penning a fundraising email to show his support.

The eldest Bush is asking supporters to donate $3 to Jeb’s super-PAC, Right to Rise, and enter a raffle contest to win a picture of the pair playing tennis. He added that the super-PAC team will double all donation entries for the next 24 hours.

{mosads}“When Jeb asked me to sign a photo of the two of us, I was all in. My only disappointment was we didn’t have one of us skydiving … but the family photo of us on the tennis court is great,” Bush 41 wrote, joking about his affinity for skydiving despite his age.

“Not many folks know that Jeb played tennis for the University of Texas Longhorns. Like all Bushes, he’s competitive! Maybe I’ll talk him into a parachute jump soon.”

As Jeb nears an almost-certain presidential bid, he’s tried to toe the line between welcoming his political dynasty family and drawing a distinction between himself and the controversial policies of his brother, former President George W. Bush.

In February, he told supporters “I am my own man and my views are shaped by my own thinking and own experiences.”

But he’s also hired a number of former Bush foreign policy advisers and has relied on both his father and brother to help with fundraising efforts.
