Dallas: Cleveland decision ‘political’
The CEO of Dallas’s convention bureau says the GOP’s decision to pick Cleveland as its 2016 convention site was all about politics.
Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau chief executive Phillip Jones told The Dallas Morning News that his city was told the decision would be all about business.
“You look at the reasoning behind the decision to select Cleveland, and it was clearly political,” he said.
{mosads}Republicans have said their choice to make Cleveland the 2016 destination was a business choice, though they haven’t shied away from the political motivations.
