Herman Cain: I may run again

Herman Cain suggested Saturday he may not be done with presidential politics just yet.

The brief GOP frontrunner from the 2012 cycle did not rule out a 2016 run at a Republican conference in New Orleans, saying the future was still up in the air.

“I do not know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future,” said Cain, according to The Washington Post. “And I trust in God.”

The former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza became an unlikely candidate for president in 2012, leading a few polls early on in the wide open race. But Cain pulled out before any states held their primaries, and was dogged by accusations of sexual misconduct when he was head of the National Restaurant Association.

Similar to 2012, 2016 is shaping up to be a GOP presidential race without a clear front-runner.

Speaking at the Republican Leadership Conference, Cain urged conservatives to remain engaged in the electoral process, saying voter turnout was critical for the cause.

“Stay informed. The stupid people are out-voting us,” he said, according to CNN.
