Mich. poll has Romney up 1 point

Baydoun-Foster’s Michigan polling has leaned more toward Romney
than other Michigan surveys by several points throughout the final months of
the campaign, a review of RCP’s Michigan polling shows.

{mosads}Nonetheless, Michigan has newly re-entered the presidential
race down the homestretch, as the Romney campaign has put resources into
Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania.

The Romney campaign says the new push is part of an effort to expand the electoral map, but Democrats have dismissed that notion, claiming that Romney is looking for electoral votes after polls suggested he was slipping in Ohio.

Of
the three, Team Romney’s biggest focus has been on Pennsylvania, where the GOP candidate is making an appearance Sunday and where outside spending groups have launched a late ad blitz.

Democrats say that Michigan is out of reach for Romney
because of his position on the auto bailout, which the Obama campaign has stressed
toward the end of the campaign.
