Dems push back on state voting restrictions
“They know they cant win elections on the merits, so they’re trying to rig elections by blocking people’s access to the polls,” Wasserman Schultz said.
{mosads}The DNC released a report detailing alleged infringements on voter rights along with a website, www.protectingthevote.org, that helps supporters stay connected with voting rights efforts and learn how to register to vote.
Supporters of the restrictions maintain they are intended to prevent voter fraud, but Wasserman Shultz pointed to an investigation performed under the Bush Administration that found little evidence of fraud in U.S. elections.
