House Dems pull in $4.1M after midterms
A tough election isn’t slowing the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s fundraising operation.
{mosads}The DCCC pulled in $4.1 million from Nov. 25 through the end of 2014, part of a $206 million haul for the campaign cycle, a committee record.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has yet to announce its end-of-year fundraising figures. Through Nov. 24, the DCCC had brought in $50 million more than the NRCC for the cycle.

That didn’t stop Republicans from winning a net of 13 seats to build their largest House majority since World War II.
The DCCC is now carrying $10 million in debt at the end of the election cycle, down from $12 million. That’s less than the $13.5 million debt it had at the end of 2012 and $16 million debt it carried at the end of 2010.
“We start the 2016 cycle in stronger financial shape than recent years thanks to Chairman Israel, Leader Pelosi and the record shattering grassroots support from Democrats across the country,” DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) said in a statement. “House Democrats are on offense and will continue to focus on middle class economics and draw a sharp contrast with House Republicans’ focus on trickle-down economics.”
