Palin endorses Kirk in Arizona primary race
{mosads}In a statement, Palin stressed that Adams would be a conservative ally in the continuing battle to repeal the Affordable Care Act, or “ObamaCare.”
“Kirk is determined to repeal this mother of all unfunded mandates,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “And when he gets to Washington he won’t just ‘join the fight’ to repeal Obamacare, he’ll help lead it.”
She also argued Kirk supports “sound immigration laws,” mentioning the controversial 2010 immigration law the Supreme Court ruled on in June.
She also called him a “proven advocate of removing the crushing burdens of excessive government regulation on our small businesses.”
She added that Kirk knows firsthand that many Americans did, in fact, build their own small businesses, a reference by Palin to a Republican attack line on Obama, who said business owners should credit others for helping them build.
Salmon’s campaign responded to the endorsement by noting they have received several conservative endorsements of their own, as well as support from politicians well-known inside the state including Arizona’s Gov. Jan Brewer and Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Adams is running against former Rep. Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.) for the seat being vacated by Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who is running for the U.S. Senate. Palin also supports Flake, and has recorded a robocall for his Senate bid.
