Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie (D) trails his primary opponent by a double-digit margin, according to a new automated poll for the Honolulu Civil Beat.
{mosads}Hawaii state Sen. David Ige (D) leads Abercrombie, a former congressman, by 48 percent to 37 percent.
Ige has raised and spent little on the race so far, so the poll’s numbers, if accurate, spell big trouble for Abercrombie, who has angered some with his uncompromising leadership style.
The poll of 729 likely Democratic primary voters was conducted from June 7-9 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percent.
