Trump wins Nebraska primary
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is projected to win the Nebraska primary.
The last man standing in the GOP race also won West Virginia’s primary on Tuesday as he marches to the nomination.
{mosads}Earlier in the day, Ted Cruz floated the possibility of restarting his presidential campaign if he won Nebraska’s primary, though he said he didn’t expect to win the contest.
Cruz ended his presidential campaign last Tuesday after suffering a big loss to Trump in the Indiana primary. John Kasich dropped out a day later, clearing the path for Trump.
Indiana was thought to be the last hope for anti-Trump forces to strike a blow against him.
Republicans go to the polls in Oregon and Washington state in the coming weeks. The GOP primary cycle finishes June 7, when five states vote, headlined by California.
