Christie: My wife didn’t roll her eyes at Trump

Chris Christie on Thursday said his his wife Mary Pat didn’t roll her eyes at Donald Trump this week when the Republican presidential front-runner said that Hillary Clinton would not have had any success in the Democratic primary if she were a man.

{mosads}“Being the recipient of more eye-rolls from my wife than any human being on earth, that was not an eye roll,” he told reporters in Lawrenceville, N.J., according to NJ.com.

“I’ve seen the Mary Pat eye roll for 32 years,” he added. “That was not an eye roll.”

The New Jersey governor, a Trump supporter, and his wife were standing behind the Republican front-runner on Tuesday night during a press conference following the day’s primaries.

Trump took the opportunity to lash out at Clinton, saying, “The only thing she’s got going for her is the woman’s card. And the beautiful thing is that women don’t like her.”

That comment, which has been widely criticized in recent days, prompted the alleged eye roll from Mary Pat Christie.
