Cruz-Fiorina TV ad touts contrast with Trump, Clinton

Carly Fiorina slams Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as part of “the system” in a new ad for Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign.

The TV spot, released Thursday, comes one day after Cruz announced Fiorina as his running mate.

{mosads}In the clip, Fiorina touts Cruz’s policy positions and contrasts their ticket with both Trump, the GOP presidential front-runner, and Clinton, the Democratic leader.

“Jobs, freedom, security — they feel out of reach because corrupt politicians have sold us out to the insiders,” Fiorina says in the ad.

“Neither Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump will fight the system, because they are the system.”

Cruz’s campaign is hoping to benefit from Fiorina’s willingness to directly attack Trump and Clinton.

The former Hewlett-Packard CEO regularly attacked Clinton during her presidential campaign and memorably sparred with Trump on the debate stage.

The pair continues to barnstorm Indiana ahead of next week’s primary, which is seen as a must-win for Cruz as he fights an uphill battle to deny Trump the GOP nomination.
