Cruz to name Fiorina as running mate: reports
Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz on Wednesday will announce that Carly Fiorina will be his running mate if he wins the GOP nomination, according to multiple reports.
Fiorina, a former Hewlett-Packard CEO, dropped out of the race in February and endorsed the Texas senator a month later.
{mosads}The Cruz campaign had hinted at a major announcement coming Wednesday afternoon during a campaign rally in Indiana earlier in the day. And it was reported that Fiorina had been spotted in Indianapolis earlier in the day.
The move comes a day after Cruz lost five primaries to Donald Trump, moving the front-runner closer to securing the nomination on the first ballot at the Republic National Convention this summer.
The news was first reported by WMUR.
The Cruz campaign did not immediately respond to inquiries.
