Clinton struggles with NYC subway turnstile
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton had trouble getting through a turnstile at a subway station in New York City on Thursday.
Footage from CNN showed the former New York senator struggling to scan a subway card during a campaign visit to the city.
{mosads}Her rival, Bernie Sanders, has also had his struggles with the Big Apple’s transit system. In an interview with the New York Daily News this week, he incorrectly suggested that riders need “tokens” to access the subway.
Just before Clinton got on the subway on Thursday, she took a jab at the Vermont senator over the comment.
“I think it was my first term [as senator] when we changed from tokens to MetroCards,” she said to reporters, according to AM New York.
