Sanders to appear on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will make an appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night, the senator said in a tweet.
The Democratic presidential hopeful will appear one night after Republican candidate front-runner Donald Trump canceled his visit to the show at the last minute.
{mosads}Kimmel took Trump to task for the 11th-hour cancelation Tuesday night.
“They were cryptic as to why he cancelled,” Kimmel said on the show of Trump’s people. “They said he had a ‘major political commitment.’”
“Why did he cancel?” the comedian pondered. “We told him there were cameras here, right? Are Tuesday nights the nights he volunteers down at the orphanage?”
A Trump campaign spokeswoman said Tuesday that “due to a political obligation, Mr. Trump is rescheduling his appearance and looks forward to being on the show in the next few weeks.”
Sanders will be joined on the program Wednesday by actor Michael J. Fox, in honor of “Back to the Future Day.”
