Supreme Court: GOP must comply with limits on ballot monitoring

{mosads}The RNC reached the agreement after the Democratic National Committee alleged voter intimidation in the 1981 governor’s race in New Jersey. The RNC agreed to limits on its ballot integrity programs so that those programs wouldn’t be used to disenfranchise minority voters.

The RNC had asked the Supreme Court to re-examine the limits “based on extensive changes in federal and state election laws and its good-faith compliance with the terms and purpose of the decree over the course of more than two decades.”

The court declined to get involved Monday. As usual, there was no explanation of its decision.
