Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a video on Monday featuring former President Bill Clinton encouraging New Hampshire voters to head to the polls.
The video shows Bill Clinton talking to a crowd at a Manchester restaurant.
“If there’s one thing I learned about New Hampshire is that you rise or fall on the people who are for you,” the former president said in the clip. “We need you.”
{mosads}“The proof is in the voting,” Clinton continued. “We got to be out there every single day.”
The spot, titled “We Need You,” also cuts to supporters chanting Hillary Clinton’s name and cheering: “I believe that she will win.”
Bill Clinton is hitting the campaign trail in New Hampshire for his wife starting Monday. Clinton has had a low profile on the campaign trail so far.
The ad also comes as GOP front-runner Donald Trump steps up his attacks on both Clintons and takes aim at Bill Clinton’s past infidelities. At a rally last week, the real estate mogul lambasted him as “one of the great abusers of the world.”
Trump has defended his statements, saying that the former president is fair game if he goes on the trail to back Hillary Clinton.
Clinton leads her chief Democratic rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) by a wide margin in national polls, but their race is tighter in New Hampshire, the first-in-the-nation primary state. Sanders narrowly edges her out in Granite State polls, according to a RealClearPolitics average.
The New Hampshire Democratic primary will be held on Feb. 9.
