The Democratic National Committee on Friday launched a new ad campaign aimed at getting out the black vote.
The ad, titled “A Good Send-off,” is part of a high six-figure ad buy and will air on national cable television programming aimed at African-American audiences, according to a Democratic official.
{mosads}The ad features audio of President Obama calling on black voters to hit the polls this year.
“I will consider it a personal insult if this community fails to activate itself in this election,” Obama says.
“You want to give me a good send-off? Go vote.”
The campaign is part of a larger seven-figure effort from the DNC in the last week to rally minority voters leading up to Election Day.
Obama sounded the alarm this week about low black voter turnout as Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton looks to shore up support in several battleground states.
