Bush jabs Dems for ‘hiding’ debates

Jeb Bush ribbed the Democratic Party for “hiding” its presidential debates ahead of its Saturday night event slated to run up against a National Football League game just days before Christmas Eve.

{mosads}“Why is the #DemDebate always on a Saturday?” the GOP White House hopeful tweeted, using the hashtag #HidingHillary with a picture of Hillary Clinton making an awkward face.

The Democratic Natonal Committee has faced significant criticism over its debate schedule from a variety of sources, including DNC officials and two Democratic candidates: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.

The Republican National Committee blasted out a compilation of tweets from reporters questioning the debate schedule right as Clinton began her opening remarks.

The party’s first debate, scheduled during prime time on a weekday, drew a party record 15.3 million viewers. But last month’s debate, held on a Saturday, drew just 8.5 million.
