Braley’s House seat goes to GOP
Republicans dealt an extra blow to Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) by taking his current House seat.
GOP businessman Rod Blum will take over next year for Braley, who lost his Senate bid against Republican Joni Ernst. Blum defeated former Iowa state Speaker Pat Murphy (D).
Blum received help on the campaign trail from several prominent Republicans with an eye toward 2016, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
