Congressman has ‘fun’ dealing with waste
Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) has gone undercover again, this time as a water treatment plant operator.
Last week, the congressman continued his initiative in which he walks in other people’s shoes for a day. The jobs he’s taken on include zookeeper, garbage man and pouring metal at a metal refinery.
{mosads}As a water treatment plan operator, Quigley raked plastic waste at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. He also dumped “treated solids out” of railroad cars, according to a press release.
On Twitter, he said doing these jobs is “always fun.”
