I cover media issues for The Hill, a role I have held since the spring of 2022. Before starting work on the media beat full time, I served as a Staff Writer and Social Media specialist at The Hill, following a two-year stint at the Washington Examiner in a similar role. These days my primary coverage area is the news media — including the leading cable news networks, national newspapers and nation's biggest tech and media conglomerates — as well as the changing information landscape and the fight for audience in the digital and streaming era. I moved to Washington, D.C. in 2018 after working in newsrooms at local newspapers in Virgina, Michigan and other smaller markets where I covered city government, politics and areas of general interest. I'm originally from Upstate New York and graduated in 2016 from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and public affairs.
