Editorial Intern

Hi, thanks for checking out my author page!

I report for The Hill on breaking news, congressional happenings and occasionally, deep-dive, longer-term projects that cut new angles on national issues.

I first became an intern for The Hill after being awarded a White House Correspondents’ Association scholarship, which allowed me to spend my last semester in graduate school in Washington. I also received the Bob Homan Washington Reporting Program Endowed Fund, the first recipient of the reward at my university.

I’m a graduate of the University of Missouri journalism school, where I drew a throughline from my political science undergraduate background that led to me to D.C. In addition to reporting and writing, I specialize in data journalism. My aim is to make the complex into an interesting read with good visual compliments, turning perhaps boring or dense topics into narratives that leave an impression.

I try and tear myself away from the news with more kinetic activities like boxing – I boxed with Boise State University – skiing and running.

I’m Texas-raised and most recently from Boise, Idaho.
