Hi! I’m Cheyanne, The Hill’s race and politics reporter and the creator and host of The Switch Up podcast. 

On my beat and podcast, I delve into the intersection of race and politics by speaking with leading voices of color about the most pressing issues facing Black and Brown Americans. I often focus on the Congressional Black Caucus, Black voters and campaigns. 

I’m originally from Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, I reported for the Chicago Sun-Times. There, I covered the city’s South and West sides. My work has also been published in the Wisconsin State Journal, theGrio, UPI and South Side Weekly. 

In my free time, I am a huge book reader and I love to horseback ride.
