President Biden will address the nation on Tuesday after he and Vice President Harris meet with the White House COVID-19 response team and public health officials.
He is expected to emphasize the importance of wearing masks, getting vaccinated and getting boosters as the omicron variant continues to cause a nationwide surge in COVID-19 infections.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET.
