A Baltimore Ravens inside linebacker is recovering from a non-life-threatening injury after he was hit by a stray bullet.

“On Sunday night while attending a gathering in Cleveland, Malik Harrison sustained a non-life-threatening injury after being struck by a stray bullet in the left calf,” the Ravens announced on Monday.

“Malik, who received medical care at a local hospital, has been in touch with our team doctors and will return to Baltimore today.”

When reached for comment, the Ravens referred to The Hill their previous statement.

Harrison, a 23-year-old third-round draft pick by the Ravens last year, started in the team’s first five games of the regular season before having his playing time decreased in the last two contests, according to an ESPN report.

He is the second NFL player to suffer gunshot wounds this year.

Minnesota Vikings rookie defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman was shot in his arm, leg, buttocks and shoulder while sitting in a vehicle in Washington, D.C. in June, ESPN reported.

Twyman, a sixth-round draft pick in this year’s draft, made a full recovery and reported to his team training camp in July.
