Watch live: McCarthy holds briefing with reporters
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) is set to hold a press conference with reporters Thursday morning at the Capitol.
The briefing follows the passage of a bill Wednesday to establish a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
The bill earned relatively little support from Republicans as GOP leaders sought to quash a measure negotiated by one of their own members.
McCarthy is scheduled to begin the briefing at 11:30 a.m. EDT.
