President Biden’s job approval is holding steady after passing the American Rescue Plan, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.
Sixty percent of registered voters in the March 19-22 survey said they approve of the job Biden is doing as president, a slight increase from last week which saw 59 percent support.
By contrast, 40 percent of voters disapprove of Biden in the White House.
Sixty-seven percent of respondents approve of Biden’s handling of the coronavirus, a two-percentage point uptick from last week.
The survey follows the passage of the $1.9 trillion dollar coronavirus relief bill and more Americans cgetting vaccinated across the country.
During his first official press conference on Thursday, Biden announced a new goal of administering 200 million vaccine shots to Americans by the end of his first 100 days in office.
The most recent Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 2,858 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.83 percentage points.
