Trump targets ‘Complete psycho’ Scarborough, ‘ditzy airhead’ Brzezinski while praising ‘Fox & Friends’
President Trump took aim at MSNBC morning hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski early Thursday, with the president calling Scarborough “a complete psycho” and co-host Brzezinski “his ditzy airhead wife” while praising rival “Fox & Friends.”
“Very poor morning TV ratings for MSDNC’s Morning Joe, headed by a complete Psycho named Joe Scarborough and his ditzy airhead wife, Mika, and also @CNN, headed by complete unknowns,” Trump tweeted to his more than 85 million followers.
“Congratulations to @foxandfriends on dominating the mornings (thank you President Trump!).”

It is not known what prompted the tweet, which later drew a response from Brzezinski.
“You called me ditzy. What’s your thing with women? You have a lot of problems with women,” she said during the program.
“You’re scared of them or something. I think the Kamala [Harris] thing has you freaked out,” she added, referring to Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), whom presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has selected as his running mate. Trump has repeatedly criticized Harris since the announcement earlier this week.
The president also appeared on Fox Business for an interview with “Mornings with Maria” anchor Maria Bartiromo on Thursday morning.
“Morning Joe” has been highly critical of Trump since May 2016 after the former NBC “Apprentice” star and real estate mogul captured the GOP presidential nomination. Throughout the 2015-2016 primaries, Scarborough and Brzezinski were criticized primarily from the left for being too friendly with Trump during his regular appearances on the program.
Trump has also praised “Fox & Friends” for its ratings on several occasions. The Fox News morning program averaged 1.5 million viewers in July, while “Morning Joe” averaged 1.3 million and CNN’s “New Day” had 633,000 for the month.
Wow! Really bad TV Ratings for Morning Joe (@JoeNBC). @foxandfriends doing great, leading all others by far. @CNN not a factor!!!
