READ: Judge’s order denying DOJ request to block Bolton book
A federal judge on Saturday denied the Trump administration’s request to block publication of former national security adviser John Bolton’s book.
U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth wrote that “while Bolton’s unilateral conduct raises grave national security concerns, the government has not established that an injunction is an appropriate remedy.”
Lamberth, who was appointed to the district court by former President Reagan, noted that the Justice Department’s request for a restraining order and preliminary injunction came after the book was broadly distributed ahead of its scheduled release on Tuesday.
