Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer will release his second book, “Leading America: President Trump’s Commitment to People, Patriotism, and Capitalism” in October, according to a release by publisher Center Street.

“Conservatives have always faced enormous headwinds from the media, Hollywood, academia, and big tech,” Spicer said in a press release.

“But the resistance to this Administration has taken it to new heights even during this [coronavirus] crisis. ‘Leading America’ will expose the reality and hypocrisy of each and how the President’s policies and agenda are fighting back.”

Spicer served as President Trump’s press secretary for eight months in 2017, which included almost-daily clashes with members of the White House press corps that led to high ratings on cable news networks.

The former Republican National Committee spokesman jumped back into the national spotlight last year during an improbable run on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” with Spicer surviving nine weeks on the reality show despite earning low marks from judges. Spicer largely survived due to online voting, which included support from Trump.

“The book will definitely cover my experience on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ including the media reaction and how I was received by the cast and judges,” Spicer said in an email to The Hill.

Spicer also launched an evening program, “Spicer & Co.” on Newsmax TV earlier this year.

He appeared in the White House press room in a reporter role on March 20, marking the former White House press secretary’s first appearance there since his departure from the Trump administration in August 2018.

Spicer’s return raised some eyebrows from members of the media given his vocal support for Trump.

“The media reaction to returning to the briefing room will also be covered,” Spicer told The Hill.

“There will be a deep dive in how the White House press both behaves and covers this Administration,” he added.

Spicer’s first book, “The Briefing: Politics, The Press, and The President,” was a New York Times bestseller.
