Cornyn remembers columnist Novak on Twitter

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) took to Twitter today to remember conservative syndicated columnist Robert Novak who passed away today after battling brain cancer since last year.

The Texas Republican invoked Novak’s sinister-sounding alias, the “Prince of Darkness,” in memorializing the 78-year-old newsman:

Novak’s book, Prince of Darkness: 50 years of reporting in Washington is one of the best of its kind

The National Republican Senatorial Committee chair mentioned Novak’s nickname-eponymous book about his career as one of Washington’s most high-profile journalists.

Novak was diagnosed with brain in July 2008.
