Democratic manager: Trump ‘ought to get a grip and be more presidential’
Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), a House impeachment manager, said Sunday that President Trump should be “more presidential” after he sent a tweet criticizing Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the lead House Democrat who is presenting the impeachment case against Trump in the Senate.
“The president has a tendency to say things that seem threatening to people,” Lofgren said on CNN’s “State of the Union” when questioned about Trump’s Sunday morning tweet.
“He ought to get a grip and be more presidential,” Lofgren added.

Her comments came in response to Trump’s morning tweet, which said: “Shifty Adam Schiff is a CORRUPT POLITICIAN, and probably a very sick man. He has not paid the price, yet, for what he has done to our Country!”
Schiff has been a frequent target of Trump’s attacks on Twitter.
Trump’s tweet came after his defense team attacked Schiff’s credibility during their opening arguments on Saturday in the Senate impeachment trial.
