Support for presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) climbed to a record high in the latest Hill-HarrisX poll.
The survey, released Monday, found 15 percent support Warren among Democratic and Democratic-leaning independents, up from the previous peak of 14 percent in September.
However, Warren still trails former Vice President Joe Biden, at 31 percent, and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who garnered 17 percent support in the poll.
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) placed fourth in the crowded Democratic field, with 6 percent, followed by South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas), each with 4 percent.
Both Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and entrepreneur Andrew Yang drew 2 percent. The rest of the White House hopefuls running in the Democratic primary polled at 1 percent or less.
The survey comes as Warren gains momentum and establishes herself as a front-runner.
According to a RealClearPolitics average of six national polls, Warren has surged past Sanders and now has 26 percent support, trailing Biden by less than 3 points.
Some statewide polls even show Warren beating Biden in some early voting states like New Hampshire.
A CBS poll released on Sunday showed Warren ahead of Biden by 8 points, with 32 percent support in the Granite State.
Warren is among the 12 candidates set to take the stage Tuesday night in Ohio for the fourth Democratic primary debate.
The Hill-HarrisX survey was conducted among 446 Democratic and Democratic-leaning independent voters. The margin of error for the sampling is plus or minus 4.6 percentage points.
