Does this website look familiar?
Yes, this is actually the campaign website of Les Otten, Republican candidate for Governor in Maine. (Click to enlarge.)
Look familiar? One might say it’s conspicuously–even supiciously–similar to the campaign website of a certain former candidate for national office.
Hmmm….
Turns out Otten has already taken some heat from the Maine Democratic Party for copying Obama’s signature style. Otten’s campaign manager, however, swears that everything is kosher.
“We are very proud of our Web site, which was built from scratch, from the ground up, by a locally owned company–INsyt of Farmington, Maine,” Edie Smith told the Kennebec Journal. “This is the initial Web site of the Les Otten Exploratory Campaign and we anticipate that additional information will be added as Les travels throughout the state listening to the people of Maine.”
I can understand taking some pointers from Obama’s website, which was fantastic. But the logo? Come on.
