Kirk reverses course on Senate run
Turns out Rep. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) is not running for the Senate after all, the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza reports.
Kirk was telling people earlier this week that he would run after state Attorney General Lisa Madigan opted against the race.
Kirk was the Republicans leading candidate for the Senate race so his bowing out significantly hurts their chances at picking up the seat.
