Obama weighs in on ACES Twitter chatter
Barack Obama’s official Twitter account has just encouraged cap-and-trade supporters to speak out.
It tweeted:
The House is voting on a historic clean energy bill today. Have you called your representative about it? http://bit.ly/aWcDK
The tweet links to a script for people to use when calling House members. Obama, who has around 1.5 million followers, appears to be pushing back against a large amount of Republican activity on Twitter after the ACES vote was delayed. Republicans tweeted supporters to call in against the legislation, perceiving the delay as a potential tipping point in their push to vote down the bill.
