NOM–so much in two tweets
The National Organization for Marriage’s (NOM) just tweeted a couple of doozies. First:
Thanks, Colbert Report! http://nomblog.com/?p=55
Intrigued, I followed the link to a press release “thanking” Stephen Colbert for parodying NOM’s recent ad on his show.
“Thank you Stephen for playing our ad in full on national television–for free. HRC eat your heart out. Plus we all had a great chuckle, too!”
If that wasn’t good enough, their second tweet announces one of the more interesting celebrity endorsements in ages:
National Organization for Marriage Welcomes Orson Scott Card to its Board of Directors http://tinyurl.com/c6gwb6
Follow the link to find this:
Orson Scott Card, a distinguished novelist, a professor of writing and literature at Southern Virginia University, and a columnist, recently joined the board of directors of the National Organization of Marriage (NOM).
“We’re extremely honored that Orson Scott Card has joined with NOM in our shared mission to protect marriage and the faith communities that sustain it,” said Maggie Gallagher, president of NOM, “He is one of the great science fiction writers of our time and a real voice of courage and intellect on behalf of marriage.”
